ABOUT

Born on the Wirral and having worked in Liverpool, Manchester and Lancashire, I settled in London in the 90s before returning to the Wirral at the end of 2020. This has naturally given me a neutral British accent with a hint of the North West – which is easy on ears around the country and around the world.

Starting my career in BBC radio as a reporter, presenter and announcer, I went on to become a sound engineer with many happy memories; from live news and sport, to rattling tea-cups for radio drama, to recording pop music and symphony orchestras. From there, I sidestepped to TV Presentation as a Network Director at the controls of national and international networks – which in turn led to over 20 successful years in editorial, operational and later commercial leadership roles of major broadcasters and service providers, working in the UK, Asia, Africa and the Americas. But it has always been at the mic or working with audio where feel happiest.

Having procured multi-million pound services as a broadcaster and written and presented complex tender responses as a supplier, I can deliver corporate, eLearning, documentary and factual scripts with confidence, insight and authority. While my radio roots bring a deep understanding of how to lift commercial or fiction copy off the page to paint pictures in the listener’s minds. Our industry is, after all, storytelling at its core.

I really love getting to grips with a script, finding the right tone, energy, pace and personality in my voice to bring it to life. I can transform my delivery to suit the copy and introduce a hint of character as needed. Whether I’m informing, narrating, influencing or selling, I can get your messages across professionally.

So what are you waiting for? Have a listen to the demos and if you have questions or have a project you’d like to discuss, big or small, give me a shout. I’d love to hear from you.
